  • Reflect together on the details of the Bible’s first named “covenant.” What do God’s promises mean for us today?
  • Discuss the role of the “bow in the sky.” What “rainbows” help hold you accountable for your promises?

2. Genesis 12:10-17
  • What do you admire in Abram’s behavior? To what do you object?
  • Discuss Abram’s “double immigrant” status. What role does that status play in this story about his “chosenness”?
